I was visiting my parents in Nebraska when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released and I was wondering if I would need to wait until I returned to get my hands on a copy. Luckily, I have a brother-in-law that is an HP fan. He read his copy in 2 days and was happy to lend it to me. I wanted to read it as soon as possible because I wanted to take part in online discussions about the book and watch the J.K. Rowling interview on MSNBC.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed HP 7. It was exciting and fun. I feel that this final book is one of the best in the series. However, there is a lot of death and violence in the story, which some elementary parents may not appreciate. It is definately written for young adults (ages 17 -20). I did order it for my elementary library because I do have several 5th grade boys that will be asking for it.
